50 Cent Reportedly Avoids Criminal Charge for Mic-Throwing Incident

Update 11/17/2023 1:48pm:

An attorney for 50 Cent previously spoke on an incident that found a Power 106 host named Bryhana being hit in the head with a microphone while at a 50 Cent show. 50’s lawyer said the microphone throw from 50 wasn’t intentional. Now, it has been reported that 50 Cent has avoided criminal charges for throwing the microphone.  

It was noted that the police presented the case against the rapper to the Los Angeles County D.A. as a felony and that the D.A. sent the case to the L.A. City’ Attorney’s office. 

Since then, it was noted that the City Attorney’s office will not be filing any criminal charges against 50. They also noted charges won’t be filed as long as 50 doesn’t get into anything else. Along with that, the case will stay open for one year.

50 Cent's attorney is hitting back at reports over a woman being hit in the head with a microphone that the rapper threw at his L.A. concert.

The incident happened earlier this week, as 50 Cent was seen on video getting frustrated that he was handed several faulty microphones. At one point, he walks backstage and throws the microphone, which hit Power 106 host Bryhana in the head. 

Photos show Bryhana with a bloodied gash on her forehead, but Fif's attorney says the incident wasn't intentional. Scott Leemon told Page Six, "Let’s be very clear, as I told LAPD this afternoon, my client Curtis would never intentionally strike anyone with a microphone. Anyone saying something different doesn’t have all the facts and is misinformed."

According to TMZ, 50 Cent is a suspect in a criminal battery report after he threw a microphone at his L.A. concert that hit Power 106 host Bryhana in the head. Bryhana appeared to suffer a laceration to her head in photos of her after the incident. 

Sources close to the situation tell TMZ that Fif threw the mic at his production crew after being handed several malfunctioning mics, and he hit Bryhana. The woman claims that 50 Cent looked directly at her before throwing the mic, which the source says shows that he knew she was standing in the restricted area.

During 50 Cent's concert at the Crypto.com Arena on Wednesday (August 30) night, the rapper threw his microphone in frustration after it wasn't working. 

The incident happened when 50 was on stage with special guest YG, and he was handed several microphones in a row that didn't work. Frustrated, Fif threw one of the microphones, which hit Power 106 host Bryhana.

Sources close to the situation reveal that Bryhana was in a restricted area, but she suffered a laceration on her head. You can check out photos of her injuries and video of the incident above.
