Part 1: Vlad Tells Special Ed He's the 1st Rapper He Ever Interviewed in His Life

--------

In this clip, Special Ed discussed how his career began in a rough Brooklyn high school, where he first performed his song 'The Bush' at a school talent show. The response he received from the crowd inspired him to pursue a career in rap. Ed also cited the success of Run-DMC as a major influence in this decision, as it demonstrated real success in the rap industry was possible. Ed earned his big break after rapper Howie Tee came across his rap. Ed ultimately signed a record deal with Profile Records, despite Def Jam's interest, due to Profile's reputation in accommodating young rappers, as well as the covetable connection to Run-DMC.
