In a surprising turn of events, the FBI has seized Mayor Eric Adams' electronic devices as part of an ongoing federal investigation into his campaign fundraising. Sources have revealed that the devices confiscated include at least two cellphones and an iPad. The investigation revolves around allegations of collusion between Adams' 2021 mayoral campaign and the Turkish government and other entities in funneling money into his campaign.

Adams' campaign attorney, Boyd Johnson, has assured the public that the mayor is fully cooperating with federal authorities. Johnson explained that during an internal review, it was discovered that an individual had acted improperly. In the interest of transparency and cooperation, Adams promptly reported this behavior to investigators.

The FBI reportedly approached Adams on Monday evening after an event, and he willingly handed over his electronic devices. It is important to note that Adams has not been accused of any wrongdoing at this stage. He continues to participate willingly in the investigation, emphasizing that he has nothing to hide. "As a former member of law enforcement, I expect all members of my staff to follow the law and fully cooperate with any sort of investigation — and I will continue to do exactly that. I have nothing to hide," said Adams.
