Renowned college basketball coach Bob Knight has passed away at the age of 83. Knight's family confirmed his demise in a statement, expressing gratitude for the thoughts and prayers while honoring his wish for a private family gathering. Knight, who coached at Army, Indiana, and Texas Tech, amassed 902 wins in his career, ranking sixth all-time in Division 1 college basketball history.
He notably led the Indiana Hoosiers to three national championships in 1976, 1981, and 1987. Knight's 1975-76 team completed an undefeated season marking the last time a major men's college basketball team ran the table.
