In a newly revealed 123-page transcript obtained by Rolling Stone on October 30th, Los Angeles police successfully apprehended the 17-year-old alleged murderer, along with his father and stepmother, shortly after the tragic shooting of PnB Rock at Roscoe's Chicken 'N Waffles on September 12, 2022. The extensive transcript, documented during a probable cause hearing held in a Compton courthouse last April, pertained to suspects Freddie Lee Trone and his wife Shauntel Trone, both of whom have pleaded not guilty.
The transcript provided a chilling account of events leading to their arrests, exposing a failed attempt at covering up the crime. Law enforcement revealed that the suspect's father, Freddie Lee Trone, tried to set fire to the getaway car, a Buick Enclave, mere hours after the shooting, and shockingly, did so just two blocks away from his own home. This endeavor went awry, leaving Lee Trone with burns on his arms before he was eventually apprehended and hospitalized for medical evaluation.
Disturbingly, the transcript disclosed that Freddie Lee Trone allegedly surveyed the Roscoe's restaurant while PnB Rock was inside. Witnesses reported seeing him converse with individuals outside the establishment before returning with his son. Astonishingly, his son had been released from a juvenile detention center just four days prior to the murder.
Perhaps the most heart-wrenching detail in the transcript was the moment when PnB Rock lay dying in his girlfriend Stephanie Sibounheuang's arms. The gunman, threatening her life, demanded her jewelry, uttering menacing words: "Give me that now or I’ll shoot you in the head." Filled with terror, Sibounheuang relinquished her watch while the assailant seized jewelry and other valuables from PnB Rock before fleeing the scene.
