Rico Recklezz recently sat down with No Jumper, where he was asked about his friend Pluto claiming that DJ Akademiks got his house raided.
Rico Recklezz revealed that it was actually his house that got raided while Pluto was there. According to Rico, Akademiks had been covering a story about a shooting in Chicago, where he inadvertently revealed information that apparently led to the authorities investigating Pluto. This is what led to Rico's house being raided.
The conversation also touches on the influence that social media platforms, such as Instagram Live, have had on the hip-hop community. Rico recounts how he had carelessly displayed his own firearm on a live stream, unaware of the consequences he would face. DJ Akademiks' sharing of the video supposedly made it go viral, ultimately attracting law enforcement attention to the matter.
Rico spoke about some people perceiving Akademiks' actions as problematic and attributing blame to him for putting people at risk of legal consequences, others note that he has always given credit where it's due and has been supportive of artists in the community. Rico went on to speak about being released from jail and Akademiks providing him with recognition and support for his music. You can hear more above.
