Tiny Harris is catching backlash after asking fans to donate to a GoFundMe for a celebrity bodyguard who was arrested in Dubai while protecting Trey Songz.
The bodyguard, Cornell Whitfield, was sentenced to a year in prison after being accused of slapping a Jordanian man as they left the Five Palm Jumeirah Hotel in March. Whitfield maintained that he was doing his job while protecting Trey from the man, who he stated was "drunk and acting in a threatening and aggressive way."
Various celebrities have made a public plea to help Whitfield, including Tiny Harris, who directed her followers to a GoFundMe, which she said will "help get Champ back to the states." The goal of the fundraiser is $60,000 and many social media users were questioning why Tiny and Trey Songz couldn't go in together to provide the amount needed. Tiny has since taken the post off of her main page, which was replaced with a post on her Instagram Stories.
