Kysre Gondrezick, the ex-girlfriend of former Houston Rockets guard Kevin Porter Jr., denied that Porter physically assaulted her during their alleged fight at a New York City hotel last month. Gondrezick, a former WNBA player, told the New York Post that Porter did not punch her multiple times or fracture her neck vertebrae, contrary to initial reports. She mentioned that the incident was an argument that lasted less than 10 seconds and did not involve significant injuries.

Porter, initially charged with assault and strangulation, had one assault charge dropped, but still faces charges of second-degree strangulation and third-degree assault, to which he has pleaded not guilty. He was recently traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder and is expected to be waived.
