The release came during Lil Kim's prime years when many revered her as the top female hip-hop artist in the rap game. Musically, "The Jump Off" was inspired by HBCU marching bands. So, when the Queen Bee performed the song live, she often used a live HBCU-inspired band, complete with a step team.
Lil Kim recently tried to recapture her glory years during a live showing with a step team. However, once the clip hit the internet, fans made light of the 49-year-old's movements, some even called for her to ride off into the sunset and retire.
