After their altercation last week, Matt Crafton and Nick Sanchez are facing substantial fines imposed by NASCAR for their post-race brawl. The organization announced on Tuesday that Crafton, representing ThorSport Racing, was fined $25,000, while Sanchez, a rookie driver for Rev Racing, received a $5,000 fine. The incident took place at Love’s RV Stop 25 at Talladega Superspeedway, stemming from a collision between the drivers during the race's final lap, which was a playoff event.

Following the race, Crafton confronted Sanchez as he was heading to the garage, catching the 22-year-old Sanchez off guard, leading to a physical altercation. Witnesses reported Sanchez sustaining a bloody face during the altercation. His response to Crafton's punch included strong threats, with some describing it as a cheap shot.

Sanchez, the 2022 ARCA Menards Series champion, suffered a broken nose, which was promptly treated by medics at the track. Additionally, NASCAR suspended Sanchez's father from participating in the last two races of the year due to his involvement in the fight.
