A newly released surveillance video has shown the shocking scene of a shooting that took place on Monday night. The incident occurred during a local Pop Warner football practice, when an 11-year-old boy allegedly injured two other children. The video, captured by a city camera, portrays the moment the young boy grabbed a gun from his mother's car before shooting at the teens at the Northwest Recreation Complex in Apopka.

The footage reveals the 11-year-old opening the passenger door of the car and reaching inside. Within seconds, he turns and opens fire on the victims, whose backs were turned at the time. The shooting, which took place in front of many other witness children, resulted from an argument that began over a bag of chips during the football practice.

Apoka police have stated that the 11-year-old knew where to find the gun, as it was stored in a box under the passenger seat of his mother's car. The mother was reportedly waiting for practice to end when the incident occurred.

The young boy now faces an attempted murder charge, while his mother will likely be charged with a misdemeanor for failing to secure the firearm properly. The Pop Warner football team at Apopka has released a statement, expressing their commitment to keeping parents informed as they work through this difficult time together.
