The year 2023 has been kind to Zelina Vega. In addition to becoming the first lady of a Rey Mysterio-led faction called the LWO, she competed for the WWE Women's title against Rhea Ripley in her native country of Puerto Rico at Backlash during the Spring. Subsequently, in late September, Zelina Vega was named "Top 100 Latina Powerhouse" by ¡Hola! Magazine. That's because she is far more than a high-flying wrestler who topples her rivals with a "hurricanrana" off the top ropes. She's an inspiration to her community and a survivor who lost her father during the horrific 9/11 incident of 2001. Zelina Vega is also an artist heavily influenced by anime and the late R&B singer Aaliyah.

In preparation for Halloween, the former WWE Women's Tag Team Champion recently uploaded a video of herself dressed up as Aaliyah from "Queen of the Damned." Zelina Vega was 12 years old when the movie premiered back in 2002.
