On Tuesday night, under the cover of the night sky, looters ransacked a shopping area in the Center City neighborhood of Philadelphia. The chaotic scene resulted in multiple arrests and numerous weapons being confiscated in an on-camera melee where members of law enforcement could be seen punching and choking out some of their captors. The chaos was documented by Dayjia Blackwell (aka Meatball), a social media influencer who became the de facto narrator of the incident when she took to social media as it unfolded all around her. Ironically, her live stream on IG became evidence as she was arrested by law enforcement after she cheered on the looters and taunted the cops on camera.
Ultimately, the 21-year-old was charged with criminal mischief, rioting, criminal conspiracy, burglary, criminal trespass and more.
