It was recently revealed that singer Chris Brown was hit with a massive $2 million lawsuit from a bank claiming they loaned money to the “Poppin’” singer to acquire two Popeyes restaurants.

City National Bank filed the suit against Brown in California because Brown currently lives in the state. The loan was given to numerous people, including producer and songwriter The Dream, and according to The Blast, the loan was never paid back.

The bank reportedly has been trying to get their money back from Brown since 2018, with the lawsuit saying, “As of February 17, 2023, Borrower and Guarantors owe $2,140,901.74 in unpaid principal and interest.”

City National Bank’s suit filed in California is a collections suit, which means the singer will have to pay the money back more than likely, as the bank previously won a default judgment against Brown. Stay tuned for more updates.
