Update 09/23/2023 2:21am:
Shannon Sharpe and Chad Ochocinco had a laugh regarding Shannon's viral moment involving himself, Selena Gomez, and the paparazzi. According to the Hall of Famer, he thinks Gomez's team devised a plan to make a dash for the car and use Sharpe as a distraction while he kept the paparazzi occupied.
Needless to say, if that were the plan it wasn't effective as paparazzi immediately shifted focus away from Sharpe and moved onto Gomez before eventually coming back to Shannon.

Shannon Sharpe's seven-year tenure with Undisputed on FS1 concluded at the end of the 2023 NBA Finals. Thus making him the most sought-after free agent in sports media for about two months until he ultimately signed with Colin Cowherd's podcast platform (The Volume) and First Take on ESPN. With a new television gig and a celebrity net worth of $14 million, things are looking up for the proprietor of Club Shay Shay, but apparently, there are still some members of the media who remain unimpressed. A camera operator recently caught up with the NFL Hall of Famer to ask him how the U.S. should go about assembling a basketball team for the next FIBA tournament. Shannon appeared to be exiting an event when, all of a sudden, Selena Gomez (the most followed woman on Instagram) trotted by. This prompted the cameraman to make a business decision, ditching Shannon mid-interview for a photo opp with the "2017 Woman of the Year."
