Actor Fred "The Hammer" Williamson expressed his sadness at the death of fellow actor Jim Kelly in 2013 as well as Jim Brown. Noting Kelly's gradual decline, Williamson was devastated to find out about his friend's death. Michael Jai White, another actor on the interview, had also been close with Jim Brown; he expressed how he considered him to be more of a father figure than his own dad and appreciated the competitive and inspirational relationship they shared. Both actors praised Brown's efforts to foster peace in gang culture, with White asserting that Brown played a key role in quelling the conflicts between Bloods and Crips. Williamson also recounted how he and Jim Brown had sought the inclusion of gang members in their film "Original Gangsters," providing a positive outlet for their leadership qualities.
