Previously, Desiigner faced a judge over a case related to him masturbating on a Delta flight earlier this year. Reports claimed the rapper had to register as a sex offender and that he would have to take on two years of probation. However, the rapper’s lawyer has fired back at the claims, noting they are not true.
According to Desiigner’s lawyer—Ryan Garry, the rapper won’t have to register as a sex offender unless the state issues an order. “Regarding the issue of [Desiigner] registering as a sex offender, many news outlets have incorrectly stated that he is required to register as an absolute condition of his probation. They are wrong,” said the lawyer. Garry continued, “Since this was a federal misdemeanor, the sentencing judgment states that if the State of California or some other government entity requires that Mr. Selby must register as a sex offender, then he must.”
The rapper’s lawyer then noted the team concluded that Desiigner would not have to register unless “some government agency in California disagrees with our analysis.”

Some people will take great risks to join the "Mile High Club" after boarding a plane. Apparently, that was not an option for Desiigner (Sidney Royel Selby III), who decided to pleasure himself in the first class section of a Delta flight in April. The lewd act got the attention of the FBI, who confronted the Brooklyn-based rapper when his flight touched down at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.
On Thursday, a judge ruled that Desiigner will have to register as a sex offender due to his aforementioned actions last Spring. As a part of his two-year probation, the 26-year-old will have to adhere to drug testing and a psychiatric evaluation.
