Hollywood actor Gabriel Jarret, best known for his role in the 1985 film Real Genius starring Val Kilmer, has found himself caught in a sting operation by an organization called the Creep Catching Unit. Jarret also had roles in Apollo 13, Poseidon, and Frost/Nixon.

The organization, known for catching online predators, set up a decoy posing as a 14-year-old girl. Jarret engaged in explicit text messages with the decoy, even expressing his desire to have oral sex with her.

When Jarret arrived at the scheduled meeting spot, he realized he had been caught and promptly fled the scene on a scooter. In an interview with the organization, he claimed that he was set up and called it entrapment, despite the evidence against him. He maintained that he was trying to let the decoy down easy and never had any intentions of engaging in illegal activity.

The Creep Catching Unit has turned over all the evidence to the Santa Monica Police Department, which is now looking into the case. So far, Jarret claims that the police have not contacted him.
