The Summer of 2010 was dominated by the Miami Heat, who signed the three biggest free agents of the off-season. Adding LeBron James and Chris Bosh to a team that already featured Dwyane Wade made the Heat the clear-cut favorite to win the NBA Championship over teams that faced off in the 2010 NBA Finals (Los Angeles Lakers & Boston Celtics). But then, the unthinkable happened. The young Chicago Bulls came out of nowhere and finished with the best record in the Eastern Conference (62-20). The Bulls' free-agent acquisition of head coach Tom Thibodeau proved to be as impactful as any signing that off-season. With Derrick Rose leading the charge as the youngest MVP in league history and Joakim Noah following suit as the team's defensive anchor, the Bulls enjoyed their best season since Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen put the finishing touches on a threepeat in 1998.

Sadly, after tearing the ACL in his left knee, Derrick Rose lost his superior athleticism, and just like that...the Bulls Championship window closed. Nevertheless, D-Rose and Joakim Noah forged a bond that carried over to a tenure together with the New York Knicks and beyond. Last weekend, Derrick Rose tied the knot with Alaina Anderson, the mother of his two youngest children. The 2011 MVP tabbed the 2013-14 Defensive Player of the Year to officiate the wedding.
