The Hollywood parking lot turned into a scene of mayhem on Saturday night when a car was set on fire during an event by adidas Skateboarding and F***ing Awesome, causing hundreds of people to scatter in panic.
Amidst the chaos, some individuals stopped to take selfies with the burning vehicle, while others attempted to skateboard over the flames. Witnesses also reported seeing a topless woman, apparently posing for photographs with eager onlookers. The event featured the band Dead City Punx, and witnesses claim that the chaos erupted during the band's performance.
Local resident Jairo Marquez, who happened to be passing by, was initially hesitant to approach the scene due to the fires and smoke. However, upon noticing several people already gathered, he decided to investigate further. Marquez was shocked by the extent of vandalism he witnessed, including graffiti on bleachers and anti-police messages. The large crowd was eventually dispersed by the police, who were hit with rocks and bottles.
This incident has raised concerns among residents like Marquez, who fear that such reckless behavior is becoming more common in the area. Marquez believes that people are becoming desensitized to these incidents, as even children were seen watching the chaos without fear. The LAPD has confirmed that three individuals were involved in the incident, but no further details have been released at this time.
