In prison/jail, inmates generate their money in a number of ways, from working for pennies on the dollar and receiving money on their books from friends/family members on the outside to the black market behind bars (which includes gambling, trading, selling contraband, gang activity and more). The more money you have, the better you can eat. While prison food is famous for being rotten and unnourishing, many prisoners have become just as notorious for their resourcefulness in making food and amassing snacks. An inmate recently went viral with an inventory-like collection of snacks in his jail cell that included bags of Doritos, Cheetos, Lays Potatoe Chips, Reeses Pieces, Snickers, Hersey's Chocolate Bars, along with cookies, Ramen Noodles, Spanish rice, and bottled drinks.
