A video went viral showing a Prince George's County police officer getting into the back seat of a police cruiser with a woman. The officer has been identified as Francesco Marlette, who was previously facing allegations of child abuse in 2016, but those charges were dropped and expunged. The video, which has over 2 million views in just 24 hours, shows the uniformed officer with an unidentified woman entering the back of the cruiser. The video ends at that point. The person who posted the video stated that their cousin shot it at the South Lawn Neighborhood Park. This incident is currently under investigation by the police department's internal affairs.

The state's attorney for Prince George's County has also seen the video and mentioned that it is difficult to determine the full context and circumstances from a one-dimensional camera angle. However, police departments have general orders on how officers should conduct themselves while on duty to prevent such incidents. At this point, there is no evidence to suggest that anything criminal occurred, but the case may be referred to the state's attorney's office in the future. Further updates on the investigation are pending.
