New York Giants player Jihad Ward called out NFL player Aaron Rodgers following an episode of HBO’s ‘Hard Knocks,’ which allegedly showed Rodgers laughing about his teammate Randall Cobb setting an illegal block that resulted in a concussion for Ward’s teammate.
Since then, Rodgers clapped back at the commentary, saying he spoke to Cobb about the hit and also cleared up the controversy.
Rodgers said, “He thought we were laughing at his teammate? That never happened, and I think he's making s**t up. I don’t care.” Rodgers then spoke about the possibility of jealousy being a reason for Ward’s comments. “We’ve had a lot of attention — before we did Hard Knocks. Then we did Hard Knocks, so there’s some jealousy, for sure. There’s a lot of people either jumping on the bandwagon or jumping [off] the other side.,” said the NFL player.
