According to reports, the person who jumped 750 feet to their death in harrowing fashion from the atop the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Manhattan last week has been identified as a 17-year-old aspiring fashion designer who apparently just went through a tough breakup with his girlfriend before taking the fatal leap.

New Jersey teen Noah Legaspi reportedly took a taxi from his ex-girlfriend's house to the Mandarin Oriental Hotel before FaceTiming her just before he jumped.

“They broke it off and he just was never good at handling his emotions so post-breakup I guess he just wasn’t able to control his thoughts and feelings,” his brother Luis Legaspi told the New York Post. “She received an eerie Facetime call from him from the top of the hotel looking over and they had a Facetime call and he said ‘look at this pretty view’ and ‘I love you,’" Luis added.

His brother said Noah struggled with mental health issues despite excelling as an aspiring designer and tailor while also being a standout in volleyball and emerging bass guitar player. “He always felt that he wasn’t deserving of love and attention and it really sucks because I don’t know where it came from,” Luis Legaspi said. “I know from our family he’s so loved.”
