Update 08/16/2023 11:48am:

Bootleg Kev's interview with EST Gee went viral after the Louisville rapper abruptly left.

EST Gee later explained that he walked out because he felt that Bootleg Kev was asking questions unrelated to his upcoming music projects. Now, Bootleg Kev is addressing the situation from his point of view on Twitter.

On Tuesday (August 15), Bootleg Kev took to Twitter to speak out about the incident, writing, "About the @ESTGEE
thing- I’m a fan of his music & was genuinely excited to talk to him. I was told by his team that he wanted to not have an interview NOT filled with typical stuff where we talk about music this music that etc."

Kev added, "Apparently he has a wide-range of interests that include the 'Universe' & Quantum Physics etc (what I was told)…so I approached our interview as I do every single one- let’s have fun, shoot the sh*t and get to know who you are outside of the music + persona."

Bootleg Kev went on to state that EST Gee was 90 minutes late, but he added that other artists have done the same. He added that there are "no hard feelings" toward EST Gee after their interaction, and Kev went on to promote EST Gee's upcoming El Toro 2 album. You can check out his tweets above.

Original 08/16/2023 2:03am:

EST Gee stopped by The Bootleg Kev Podcast with the popular LA-based radio personality to promote the release of his new project. However, throughout the interview Bootleg Kev opened up the conversation to series of topics ranging from EST Gee's past football career and other current topics of public interest like aliens.

However, the far-ranging conversation didn't ingratiate Bootleg Kev to EST Gee who got up mid-way through the interview without provocation. He then took to social media where he called out Bootleg Kev for posting a clip of his exit in order to go viral.
