The Chris Paul trade to the Golden State Warriors still doesn't seem or feel real. Despite Paul's rivalry with Steph Curry and the animosity that exists between he and Draymond Green, there were still questions about how he'd fit with the team on the court, nevermind the off-court stuff.
However, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr recently explained to Robin Lundberg of Sports Illustrated how CP3 will bring something new to the team and get it away from the "one-dimensional" style of play they currently have implemented.
"Our team last year needed another way to attack and we became a little too one dimensional with Steph [Curry] in high ball screens," said Kerr. "We needed another playmaker to give us a different look and Chris is, as we know, one of the all-time great pick-and-roll players and he'll know how to control the tempo. It's hugely important—especially in playoff games—to have guys like that."
Questions still remain around just how this new style of play will be implemented and what lineups will Kerr use to ensure he's not subtracting from the team by addition.
