According to a report by Economic Times, a man living in Mumbai, India, is one of the wealthiest panhandlers in the world. 

Bharat Jain has a reported net worth of nearly $1 million- $890,708 (₹7.5 crores) to be exact, from panhandling in prominent locations like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus railway station or Azad Maidan. It's estimated that Jain brings in 2500 rupees daily, or about $30 a day or $904 a month.

From the money that he's bringing in panhandling, Jain has bought a two-bedroom flat in Mumbai. He has also invested in two shops in Thane that he rents out for nearly $400 a month.
