A former sports anchor for Univision named Johnathan Solarte was reportedly arrested on suspicion of murder after he allegedly gunned down a family member during a fight.
The fight allegedly went down in Corpus Christi, Texas, and 37-year-old Solarte reportedly shot 35-year-old Ricardo Cardona after they had an argument around midnight on July 3.
Police who arrived on the scene of the shooting and found a woman crying over the body of Cardona, who had a gunshot on the left side of his chest. One officer on the scene said, “I called out to Johnathan and he stated that I needed to go inside to help someone. I asked him who the shooter was and he stated he was the shooter.” It was noted the man was taken to the Bay Area hospital, where he passed away from his wounds.
Solarte posted $300,000 bond and was released from the Nueces County Jail. Stay tuned for more updates.
