The bedroom of a teen in Newnan, GA just southwest of Atlanta was housing a stockpile of weapons, according to police.

Newnan’s Drug and Vice Unit was at the 15-year-old's home investigating an armed robbery they believed him to be one of two juveniles involved. However, after entering the teen's bedroom they stumbled upon a cache of weapons in addition to "the teenager in his bed with the covers pulled over his head at the time of the arrest."

"Actually found him hiding in a bedroom, under covers, on a bed with an AR pistol fully loaded with the safety off, under the blankets," said Newnan Police Sgt. Nathan McNamara.

Authorities say many of the guns were stolen from the Newnan, Atlanta, and Carrollton areas. They seized 10 firearms in total along with extended magazines, double-drum magazines for rifles, and at least one handgun that was modified to mirror the function of a fully automatic.
