A delivery man from Chicago has made national headlines this week with a stomach-turning story. Dale Wheatley, an employee at Anatomical Gift Association of Illinois (a company that disperses human body parts), recently came forward with the shocking revelation that he found three severed heads at his desk upon returning to the office. Due to the nature of Wheatley's job duties, the incident could reasonably be categorized as an accident. But, this was different because whoever orchestrated the act included burning sage with the severed heads. Also, the fact that it happened nearly one month after Wheatly filed a complaint with the Illinois Department of Public Health and the Cook County Medical Examiner, alleging that the company didn't show enough respect to the donor's body parts, seems to justify his concern.
Wheatley has since enlisted the services of a lawyer named David Fish. When asked about the incident by the Chicago Tribune, the executive vice president of Anatomical Gift Association of Illinois, William O’Connor, denied the accusations.
