In a recent interview with Angie Martinez, Fat Joe laid out exactly why the loss of Biggie was so impactful for the city of New York and how there remains a void as a result. He also opened up about connecting BIG and Bone Thugs for their legendary collaboration on "Notorious Thugs," in addition to listening to Biggie's music on a daily.
As Joe put it, Biggie's music still brings him joy and puts in perspective just how great of an artist he truly was. “It’s always going to give us a bitter taste. We’re never going to get over it,” Joe said. “Every time I have a good time — if I’m on a yacht, if I’m celebrating life — anytime I want to feel good, I put on Biggie Smalls. I hear a Biggie Smalls song every single day of my life.”
