According to reports, disgraced former news anchor Frank Somerville was arrested twice in Berkeley, CA on Monday night.
Somerville, 65, was initially arrested after a physical altercation with his brother over a dispute about their 91-year-old father. Authorities say Somerville showed up to his father's home drunk and refused to leave which sparked the altercation. His brother Mark with bruises to his face as a result of the tussling match.
The former Bay Area anchor was arrested on suspicion of criminal threats, battery, public intoxication and probation violation. After posting $32,500 bond he was released around 2:20AM. Somerville returned to his father's home to get his car and left only to return soon after in search of his cell phone. When he arrives back in search of the phone, Somerville was denied entry into the home prompting the police to be called once again.
When they arrived around 4:20AM, Somerville was found intoxicated inside of his vehicle and “displayed objective signs and symptoms of public intoxication and was witnessed driving under the influence of alcohol,” said police. He was arrested again, this time on suspicion of DUI and probation violation.
