There have been rumblings of a reunion between LeBron James and Kyrie Irving for the past few seasons, but it appears that the recruitment phase is in full swing after reports surfaced that Kyrie reached out to LeBron about leaving Los Angeles and joining him in Dallas.

Irving's pitch to LeBron reportedly hinged on the potential of a "Big 3" with himself, James, and Luka Doncic. According to Senior NBA insider for Bleacher Report, Chris Haynes, "the Mavericks were preparing to make an offer for James last season when the Lakers were spiraling, sources say, despite James being ineligible for a trade last season due to the date of his extension."

As the conversation swirls around this latest development, analysts such as FS1's Nick Wright have pointed out that his could be a roundabout way of Kyrie and LeBron actually getting Kyrie to the Lakers. Whatever the case, hoops fans would welcome a reunion between these two and to see whether they can recapture the magic they had together in Cleveland.
