An ex-employee from the Sonic Drive-In restaurant in San Pedro, New Mexico, has been arrested after claiming he accidentally dropped a small bag of cocaine into a customer's 'Coney' hot dog. According to the Espanola Police Department, Jeffrey David Salazar (54) unintentionally placed the cocaine in a customer's food bag while he was completing her order in the kitchen area. Upon arriving home, the customer took a juicy bite into her hot dog and wound up with a mouth full of cocaine before spitting it out and calling the cops, who then confirmed the illegal substance with a field test.

Later, when investigators reviewed surveillance footage from Salazar's shift, they saw him desperately searching for "something" after he sold the customer mentioned above the 'Coney' hot dog. Salazar is now faced with a felony charge for possessing a controlled substance.
