Boxing's current No. 1 attraction, Gervonta "Tank" Davis, was recently taken into police custody after sitting for an "impromptu" court hearing in Baltimore.

According to TMZ, Davis was confirmed to have been booked at Baltimore Central Booking on Thursday following the court hearing but no details have been disclosed about the nature of his detainment.

Davis recently struck a plea deal to keep him out of jail in relation to his November 2020 traffic incident where he slammed into a Toyota after allegedly running a red light. Prosecutors say the woman driving the other vehicle was pregnant and Davis fled the scene without offering to help.

The boxing champ was sentenced to 90 days of house arrest on May 5 and was ordered to 200 hours of community service. Davis's attorney told reporters he will serve the remainder of the 90 days in jail.
