According to the Daily Mail, Jeffrey Epstein's accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell is living in fear after snitching on two "violent" inmates who were extorting her for commissary items.

Maxwell, who was convicted in her sex trafficking case and sentenced to 20 years in 2022, reportedly was stealing extra fruit, vegetables, and tofu in a deal she worked out with kitchen staff members. Two inmates known as "Las Cubanas" found out, they demanded that Maxwell spend her $360 commissary limit on them or they would report her.

A source revealed that Las Cubanas wrote a letter listing their demands to Maxwell, who turned it over to the lieutenant’s office as evidence of blackmail. This led to the Cuban women being placed in solitary confinement for 47 days.

The source then stated, " “Las Cubanas have a reputation for being tough and mean inside jail and they don’t let anything slide. They are saying Maxwell needs to pay for the 47 [days]."

Maxwell is reportedly so afraid of the Cubans retaliating that she is refusing to shower, and she is being escorted to and from her job at the prison library. Maxwell was given the option of going into protective custody after "freaking out," which she declined.
