Dominique Jones, the ex-girlfriend of former NFL wide receiver Travis Rudolph, took the stand in Rudolph's murder trial late last week, and footage from the courtroom is going viral.

Jones was cross-examined for hours on the second day of testimony, where defense attorney Heidi Perlet asked Jones to clarify a text to her brother, Keishaun Jones, to "shoot up his s---," referring to Rudolph, after seeing texts that made her believe that Rudolph was cheating. An argument ensued between Jones and Rudolph, and Perlet accused Jones of telling her brother and his friends to kill Rudolph.

Referring to the texts, Perlet asked Jones, "Isn't the moral of the story is that you sent your brother and your friends to go kill Travis?"

Jones responded, "No, the moral of the story is him putting his hands on me. That is really the basis of everything, and I didn't send my brothers to kill him."

Perlet continued to refer to the text, asking Jones, "No, you just sent a text to go 'shoot up his s---,' right?" However, Jones maintained, "I didn't say shoot him." Jones later stated that the text was "nothing violent toward a person," adding, "I was upset and my adrenaline was running and I said something that I didn't mean."

Jones admitted that Rudolph never punched, slapped or hit her, but that she did strike him. She stated, "I don't think I slapped him, but I did, like, throw a punch or two, yeah, at him." She also admitted to smashing his PlayStation and calling him a "broke b----" during their argument, which led to them arguing in Rudolph's front yard.

Jones also admitted to deleting two texts, one where her brother referred to Rudolph as a "dead man walking," along with the "Shoot up his s***" text before she turned her phone over to deputies.

This comes after Rudolph unsuccessfully sought a "stand your ground" defense in the case. He he is accused of fatally shooting Sebastien Jean-Jacques and wounding another man, Tyler Robinson, who came with Jean-Jacques and two others to Rudolph's home during the April 2021 incident.

Witness testimony is scheduled to continue Tuesday (May 30) morning at 10 am.
