Denver Nuggets head coach Mike Malone isn't hiding how perturbed he is behind his team not receiving the proper attention it deserves from having a dominant regular and postseason this year.

After dispatching of the Los Angeles Lakers in a sweep, chatter abounds about the Lakers' future plans to get to another NBA Finals before the end of LeBron's tenure but very little about the Nuggets success this year and the potential of capping it off with a title. Moreover, the conversation shifted completely away from the Nuggets series victory and their first shot at an NBA title after LeBron essentially hijacked the narrative by implying that he'd consider retirement.

In a recent presser, Malone made it clear that his team is the one still in the hunt for this year's championship, not the Lakers despite the fans and the league's hope that LA made it to the big dance. "if anybody is still talking about the Lakers in the NBA Finals, that's on them. They've gone fishing. We're still playing."
