Jackson Mahomes, the younger brother of Super Bowl LVII MVP Patrick Mahomes, was arrested on May 3 and charged with aggravated sexual battery following an incident that went down in Kansas City earlier this year. Jackson was seen forcibly grabbing the Aspens Restaurant and Lounge proprietor and kissing her without permission.

Following the news, Patrick Mahomes didn’t comment on the matter, and neither did the Kansas City Chiefs. Now, Mahomes has broken his silence. During a press conference, Mahomes was asked about his younger brother and his actions, leading the Super Bowl MVP to express discomfort. “Honestly, it’s kind of a personal thing I gotta keep to myself.”

He continued, “At the end of the day, I come here to play football and take care of my family at the same time.” Mahomes then spoke about the process of trying to navigate keeping his personal and work things separate, saying the process is hard for anyone to navigate. He replied to a reporter, saying, “It's your family, but you have to come in here and do a job. And that's what I try to do every day.” Watch above.
