It's been a good week and a half for Michael Jeffery Jordan. The 6-Time NBA Finals MVP, who currently owns the Charlotte Hornets, saw his team secure the number two spot in the NBA lottery despite having fourth-best odds to win. Additionally, LeBron James, the man who most sports pundits consider the biggest threat to his GOAT status on an NBA court, once again came up short in his quest for a fifth championship ring upon being swept out of the Western Conference Finals by the Denver Nuggets. So, what better way to celebrate two major wins than by dropping $3.5 million on an exotic sports car so exclusive that only 30 exist in the entire world?

According to reports, Michael Jordan (60) recently purchased a limited edition Hennessey Venom F5 Roadster. While most people know him as the iconic leader of a Chicago Bulls dynasty that raised six NBA championship banners during the 90s, his car collection is also the stuff of legends. The fourth-richest African American in the world reportedly has a car lot that features a Porsche 911 Turbo S, Ferrari 512TR, Bentley Continental GT, McLaren-Mercedes SLR 722, Aston Martin DB9 Volante, and more. He also co-owns a NASCAR team called 23XI Racing. Jordan's latest addition to his luxury car collection just might be the most impressive of them all. When behind the wheel of his new F5 Roadster, "His Airness" will be driving the world's fastest convertible. With a top speed of 311 MPH, this hypercar is powered by a 1,817 twin-turbocharged V8 engine.

Upon finalizing the $3.5 million sale to Michael Jordan, the owner of Hennessy Performance, John Hennessey, took to social media to celebrate the deal with his famous friend and customer by posting a picture of them together.

“Today was a special day. Such an honor to build a special Venom F5 for a special friend,” John Hennessey wrote.

Seven years ago, Michael Jordan became the first former NBA player to reach billionaire status. Although he was rumored to be in talks to sell his majority stake in the Charlotte Hornets to the team's minority owners, Melvin Capital, and Daniel Sundheim, conflicting reports have surfaced as of late. If the Charlotte Hornets had won the NBA lottery last week and drafted Victor Wembanyama, the franchise's value would have increased by approximately $750 million. Instead, they'll make the number two selection in next month's NBA draft. Nevertheless, Jordan's Hornets are in a prime position to add a potential future All-Star, like Brandon Miller or Scoot Henderson, to the fold.
