On Thursday evening, around 6:30 pm, members of the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department were engaged in the middle of a training session. But it is unlikely they were prepared for what happened next. A 31-year-old man named Aljenard Lekambrick snuck into one of their fire trucks before merging with traffic, smashing into an unoccupied cop car and hightailing it down the freeway. This ignited a chaotic police chase where the suspect, operating a vehicle known as 'Truck 32,' was pursued by a Broward County Aviation helicopter, fire rescue, and Florida Highway Patrol.

Nearly three hours into the chase, the Miami-Dade police finally caught up with Aljenard near exit 86 of Florida's turnpike. Following his arrest, no injuries were reported, but the peculiar incident left many of the bystanders wondering what would cause a man to steal a fire truck in the first place.
