A couple was arrested after a traffic stop when they were accused of trafficking cocaine through South Carolina. The bust occurred after the drugs fell out of the fake pregnant belly of one of the suspects.
Anthony Miller and Cemeka Mitchem were taken into custody after Anderson County Sheriff's deputies pulled them over on Interstate 85 as part of a "proactive patrol." Authorities became suspicious after they asked Mitchem's due date to which she and Miller provided "conflicting information." When Mitchem realized the deputies weren't buying their story, she darted from the vehicle, dropping the drugs from her fake belly in the process.
Authorities estimated the couple was hiding more than 1,500 grams of cocaine during the traffic stop. Miller and Mitchem were arrested and are facing cocaine-trafficking charges.
