An on-campus between a trans female and a biological female has garnered national attention for Martin Luther King High School and outrage amongst activists, teachers, students, and parents throughout the Riverside Unified School District. The viral footage depicts the biological girl aggressively approaching the trans girl before the latter picks her up and shoves her into a table, igniting an all-out brawl. Although no injuries were reported, several students went public with displeasure about the incident, putting pressure on the school district, which reacted by expelling the juvenile assailant.
"Since the incident occurred, district staff has been working to ensure the safety and rights of all students are considered and promptly responded to," Tweeted the Riverside Unified School District on April 27th. "We are able to verify that the student involved will no longer be attending King High School."
