Previously, it was revealed that Troy Ave testified in the murder trial for Taxstone, with the rapper reportedly speaking on being shot, saying, “I’d rather die fighting. People die from leg shots. I’d rather die fighting than laying on the ground. I got up immediately.” Now, the New York rapper has given thought to possibly having to do prison time in relation to the Taxstone shooting case.

“And would you believe after all the evidence I still gotta go to jail 😞 … even tho I feel like ‘it’s self-defense’ even tho I feel like ‘my friends shoulda took some of the weight off my shoulders’ that ain’t the reality,” said the Brooklyn rapper.

The rapper then pointed out that New York doesn’t have traditional self-defense laws, and continued to speak on how his ”friends” weren’t willing to take a gun charge for him in the situation while he handled the attempted murder charge. “That’s when the concept of Team became of myth; that’s when I realized THE STREETS IS A MYTH. But regardless of all that, ima take whatever comes with this, with my chin up and 10 toes down.” Troy Ave lamented.

He concluded by saying, “I hope y’all use me as an example and learn from my mistakes.” Take a look above.
