Previously, it was reported that siblings LaTavia McGee and Eric Williams were kidnapped by the cartel in Mexico. Their friends, Shaeed Woodard and Zindell Brown, were gunned down after they tried to run from the cartel. Now, it has been reported that McGee was arrested in relation to an incident that took place in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, in February 2023.
An incident report noted that girls who were involved in a school fight came back to the scene with their mom and grandmother, with the grandmother coming to the scene, grabbing someone by the shirt and hitting them. From there, police were told that the mother pulled a firearm from her purse and waved it before fleeing from the scene.
McGee was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and released on her own recognizance. Mark Cummings, an attorney for McGee said, “This charge was in no way related to the torture and death that [McGee] went through.” He continued, “We believe that the police department was doing its job. We are grateful for the hard work the police department does, but we do look forward to the charge being dismissed.” Stay tuned for more updates.
