WWE superstar Rey Mysterio appeared on the ‘IMPAULSIVE’ podcast and spoke about various topics related to his career. During the conversation, Mysterio revealed he was once addicted to painkillers at the height of his career.
Mysterio noted he had never told the story before, saying, “During my big run in WWE, I got f**king hooked on painkillers.” The wrestler said his wife pulled him to the side to issue an ultimatum: "You can either take your pills, or you can take your family. You choose.”
From there, the wrestler said he spoke to Vince McMahon and told him he needed to head to rehab. One of the hosts asked how long he was in recovery, replying “30 days.” Rey pointed out the time as one of his favorites in life, as he learned what not to do to succeed in life. Watch above.
