Talib Kweli and Madlib recently made an appearance on ‘Sway In The Morning,’ and the legendary-yet-elusive producer made a revelation about a project with Mac Miller.
Previously, Madlib spoke on the possibility of an entire project with Mac in 2019, saying there was not any set plan to drop music, with the producer saying, “The song still doesn’t have an official title, and there are no official plans to release the EP” after the release of a single.
Despite that information, Madlib spoke to Sway recently and noted that he was in the process of completing the ‘MacLib’ album. “Right now, I’m finishing up the Mac Miller album, Planet Asia album, Erykah Badu album, different stuff,” the producer said. Sway asked Madlib if that was the same project he mentioned years ago, with Madlib confirming that the late rapper's estate was down to release the work.
Madlib later gave more insight into working with Badu, saying, “We just started on an album. We have a lot of unreleased stuff.” Watch above.
