According to reports, rapper 42 Dugg could be facing additional prison time after purposely failing to show up to serve a six-month sentence for unlawful carry of a firearm.

The new sentence could carry up to five years in federal prison in addition to a $250,000 fine.

42 Dugg was originally arrested back in 2020 for gun possession which was a serious offense considering his prior convictions. He allegedly fired a gun at an Atlanta gun range and the information of this outing was given to federal authorities which led to his eventual arrest.

Back in 2021, 42 Dugg's legal team later struck a plea deal which would see the rapper avoid jail time. However, the judge presiding over the case revoked the deal and instead sentenced him to six-months in prison. After refusing to surrender, 42 Dugg now awaits sentencing on May 10 for evading prison.
