Andrew Wiggins has not played a game for the Golden State Warriors since Valentine's Day. The defending NBA Champions are 7-5 in his absence, but their woes on the road have continued. With no return date in sight for the 2022 All-Star small forward, the Warriors currently rank 7th in the Western Conference, which would place them in the play-in tournament (to qualify for the playoffs) if the regular season were to end today. Players missing time is a recurring theme in today's era of "Load Management."  But Wiggins' absence isn't due to an injury or rest imposed by the team's coaching/training staff.

The truth is, the public remains unclear as to why the 28-year-old has been out since the All-Star break, but last week, rumors began to surface that the mother of his infant daughter, Mychal Johnson, cheated on him with his best friend, thus causing his consequential unavailability. These rumors have not been confirmed. However, when the former point guard for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish caught wind of the nasty speculation, she took to Twitter and addressed her critics.

"The internet is a sick place," Mychal wrote. "Literally the farthest thing from the truth. It’s sad y’all even doing this.

Andrew Wiggins and Mychal Johnson have been together since 2013. The couple welcomed their first child, Amyah, back in 2018.
