Recently, Ja Morant faced an eight-game suspension for behavior detrimental to the league. Since then, Ja Rule was asked about Morant and gave some candid insight on what the Grizzlies player should do.

Ja Rule noted that hip hop caused him to go down the wrong path, saying he started drinking alcohol after hearing Snoop Dogg’s “Gin and Juice.” Because of that, he noted he feels Morant was influenced by music in the way same way and said, “that ain’t the way.”

The ‘Holla, Holla’ rapper said, “Go play ball, man. The streets ain’t about nothing, man. Go grind on ’em. Keep balling. That’s it, man.” News of this comes after Morant sat down with Jalen Rose to speak about the gun-flashing incident. Watch above.
